1. Is Feast of Friends a Dating Site? Absolutely not. We are about adults meeting adult friends based totally on your own personal interests. You get to meet others who enjoy doing the same things as you. It is about enriching your life, doing what you want but with many new friends. 2. How much does Feast of Friends cost? Feast of Friends is totally free. Not just today but always. The cost of enriching your life socially and mentally is priceless so that is exactly what we are charging. Enjoy. 3. Why are there so many questions on the profile to answer? The best way for people with similar interests to find you is if they know you like the same things as them. The more detailed your profile, the more invitations you will have to events and activities that you may not find on your own. 4. What are the downloads? Ok, so we get more than just a bit excited about the concept of Feast of Friends. In our spare time (what little of it there is) we came up with some expressions of our excitement at this site and what it can mean to our members! Are they free? ABSOLUTELY! Enjoy the computer wallpapers, icons and avatars that we will be uploading to this section from time to time. Later on we expect to start offering discount coupons to our members on deals that are not available elsewhere! AT NO COST AND WITHOUT ANY HIDDEN AGENDA OR MALICIOUS SOFTWARE - you have OUR promise! 5. I love this site and want to tell all my friends about it. How do I do that? On every page of the website you will see a link to "Invite a Friend!' We highly encourage you to share this site with all your friends. The more that there the better the experience is for everyone. And again, its Free, so why not? (Look for some neat referral prizes in the weeks to come...) 6. The information in my profile is no longer up to date. How do I update my profile? When you enter your profile page, right above your picture, you will see an edit button. Any of the questions that you were asked when you signed up, will be available to change your response at anytime. So as you grow and evolve, so do your tastes and interests and you are able to show that in your profile.
7. What are my connections? Your connections are the friends you have met here on Feast of Friends. This will automatically update as you add more friends to your profile.
8. What is My Gallery? My gallery is a place for you to post pictures of yourself and activities that you have enjoyed through Feast of Friends. Upload your pictures and show everyone how much fun you are having.
9. What is My Calendar? Your calendar is your personal social organizer. Use this to keep track of whether you are free to join an upcoming activity that you are considering. This allows you never to double book yourself - unless you choose to of course. 10. Can I contact other members through Feast of Friends? Absolutely. We have made sure that you have the opportunity to not only connect with other people but get to know who you are meeting beforehand. You can message another member through your Message function. 11. How do I set up an Activity? On Feast of Friends the simplest way to set up an activity would be first to join the applicable activity group, then simply post a notice on the bulletin board. Your Feast of Friends username will appear with the bulletin and your activity friends can message you directly about time, date and location. 12. Am I the coordinator for the activity once it is set up? Yes you are, unless you delegate it to someone else, which then we would recommend that you make the delegate the coordinator. The coodinator has the power to choose the activity, time, location etc but also to approve all attendees unless the activity is totally public (which we don't recommend). 13. What is the difference between public, private and invitation only activities? We recommend that you use this guideline for deciding on how to create an event. A private event like a Birthday party and you want to be able to invite whoever you want, then make the event - invitation only. Your event will not be open to be viewed by the public. Invitation only events are activities that you want to be open and shown openly on Feast of Friends but the details of the event are only made known once the coordinator accepts the person. Public events that are open to the public and all the details are open to all members of Feast of Friends we would only recommend if the activity is actually public like a fundraiser in a public park - open to all. It is a great way to get extra exposure to your public events. Be very cautious about using this setting for private events (we highly do not recommend it). 14. I created an activity but I can't seem to access it. What do I do now? In an attempt to ensure your safety and the high standards that we are setting at Feast of Friends, this is one of the areas that you can not publish an event, without the prior approval of our administrative team. We will be reviewing each activity to ensure that there are no hate, sexual or other events added to our site. Once the team has reviewed your activity, it will be live. Give us about 24 hours to review it but I don't think most of them will take that long to review. |
