My Reason for Feast of Friends |

The song "I'm so excited" keeps running through my head. After almost 11 months of work, we have finally got www.feastoffriends.net off the ground. Jump for Joy!!
My husband, Andre and I, came up with this idea when we couldn't seem to meet people with similar interests as us. I really wanted a book club, gourmet dinner party group and people to travel with. Andre desperately wanted to golf and have a guys poker night.
Every time we asked people that we knew or even who we met if they wanted to do the same things, we were met with the same disinterest. We didn't want to do anything that was too unusual, so how come we couldn't seem to meet anyone with the same interests.
We talked to so many people about how lonely we were and how we wanted to have more fun. They all agreed that they felt the same way but how do we fix it.
We joined all the online groups not mentioning any by name, and were reintroduced to the people we already knew and had lost touch with. It was wonderful to reconnect, but it didn't solve our problem.
That's when the idea of Feast of Friends came up. We could create a place to meet people with similar interests, a place where we could create activities and meet people - OFFLINE, where we could laugh, eat, enjoy together.
Now that we have created it, the success and completion of the vision of Feast of Friends is up to the world. We envision everyone having so many friends, doing things that they love, the workplace cooler is filled with stories of everyone living a full rewarding life. Utopia.
Go look, join, meet new people but most of all - Live the Life You Love.
